The only requirement to be a bobokian is to encourage creativity through art. No matter which ever art you do, as far as you are satisfied with your artwork you are welcome here to share with us.

Some Guidelines: (Please Read before you leap)

-Any type of art is invited, try to submit your work in specified folder. (We've reserve featured folder to ourselves to show best of Bobok, so please don't post your art there)

-The types of art can be broadly classified as

-Photography

-Drawings (any sort of media traditional/digital)

-Literature (any type of poetry/prose.)

-Craft (anything that you crafted yourself)

-Snippets (you can submit any random idea that came to your mind, perhaps it can be worked out).

- Submissions to faves is also welcome here, we will make collection of Best of faves for every month

-please No pornographic or discriminatory work or any sort of offensive content.

Siren's Song
Darkness is all the young man sees as memories of the previous night attempt to flicker through his mind like a slideshow. Hazy images and diluted sounds are all he gets in return for trying to remember. With his eyes still closed tight, he tries to move his hand only to stop at the softest of sounds. Not wanting to startle what or who could be the owner of such a soothing voice he cracks one eye open, silver eyelashes barely even fluttering as he reveals one aquamarine orb.

three amAround nine pm I took a walk to the local 'temple'. That's how I refer to Starbucks. What can I say...I worship their coffee. And I often give thanks to them, sometimes three times a day.

I knew better than to make such a late visit, but the java sanctuary in my neighbourhood has a rooftop patio and a heavenly view to the mountains. I sat until about 10:30 watching a glorious sun set behind a nice poofy cloud formation. Drinking coffee always gets me thoughtful too. Livor Mortis‘What are you looking at? Don’t you see I am digging a grave?’ the digger shouted while stabbing the earth.
'Yes i see what you are doing', A man standing beside the grave watched him do his work, 'I was just wondering how it feels to be inside a grave.'
'Hah you'd get to know it some day.', the digger chuckled. He found the simplicity of man's curiosity quite amusing.
It was a hot shimmering June day. The mid-noon sun shone with full swing. Dust cloud had formed around the grave.
'Do insects eat the cadaver?' he continued his inquiry.
'I don't know yet. Never spent my death inside ever,' the digger spoke while cleaning the sweat off his forehead.
'But you know it. They eat it somehow. don't they?'

              Just a Flesh Wound

   The hospital was silent, save for the occasional frantic screech of the odd dementia patient here and there. In room 304, a pair of teens sat criss-crossed upon the bed, eating contentedly. The girl flinched and rubbed her recently sewn up torso.

   "Man, I still can't believe you got mauled by a shark." Sighed her companion, a "scene" boy with green eyes.

   "I know, like I haven't suffered enough in my life…" She replied with a mouth full of noodles.

   "What was it like?" The black haired boy wondered.

Our affiliate is holding their first contest themed "birds and food" [link]. Its open for all type of mediums like photography, traditional/digital art and even artisan crafts. So everyone is encouraged to participate/donate for the contest.

It all starts as unique as Bobok; a Russian word which means "little bean" which Fyodor Dostoevsky used as a title of his short story to describe it as "nonsense" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Bobok )
